Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 25, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how The Go-To Guy Network, operated by David Padier Tradesman (“the Network,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, shares, and protects information from homeowners, trade partners, account holders, and website visitors.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly and information created while operating the Network. Depending on how you use the service, this may include:

  • Homeowner names, email addresses, phone numbers, property addresses, preferred contact methods, and project or service-request details.
  • Photos, videos, documents, and other files uploaded with a homeowner request or trade partner application.
  • Trade partner business and owner contact details, service areas, work preferences, references, licenses, certifications, insurance records, credentials, review profiles, and application information.
  • Account and login information, role and access records, agreement acceptances, signatures, communications, notification preferences, and support requests.
  • Referral activity, status updates, customer feedback, complaint or exception records, invoices, fees, payments, and administrative or accounting records.
  • Basic website and application usage information, such as pages visited, device or browser information, referral source, security logs, and error records, where available.

How We Use Your Information

We use information to:

  • Review homeowner requests and match an appropriate request to one eligible trade partner at a time.
  • Operate accounts, review partner applications, verify credentials through human review, manage referrals, and provide customer and partner support.
  • Send service-related communications, including request confirmations, referral notices, account messages, reminders, and job-status follow-up.
  • Administer Network fees, invoices, payments, reports, and other business records.
  • Meet legal and compliance obligations, prevent fraud or misuse, protect accounts and the service, investigate complaints, and maintain audit and operational records.
  • Understand and improve website and service performance.

When Information Is Shared

Homeowner contact details are not released to a prospective trade partner merely because a request was submitted or offered. Under the Network’s current workflow, those contact details are shared with the matched trade partner only after that partner accepts the referral. The partner may then use the details only to respond to and serve that homeowner.

We may provide information to service providers and processors only as reasonably needed to host the service, store files, authenticate users, process payments, send communications, monitor reliability, support operations, or meet legal obligations. We may also disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect people, property, accounts, or the Network. We do not sell personal information.

SMS and Mobile Information

If you provide a mobile number and opt in where required, we may send operational text messages about referrals, referral response windows, and job-progress updates. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. SMS consent is optional and is not a condition of joining the Network, receiving referrals, or purchasing or using services.

Mobile information will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. SMS opt-in consent and phone numbers collected for messaging purposes will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing.

Access and Security

We use role-based access controls and other reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. Partners can access only the information needed for their own accounts and accepted referrals. Authorized Network administrators and staff may access information needed to operate, review, support, secure, and audit the service. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Retention and Your Requests

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to operate the Network, manage accounts and referrals, maintain business, billing, compliance, security, and audit records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary by record type and the relationship involved.

You may contact us to ask about, correct, or request deletion of personal information. We will review the request, verify identity when appropriate, and respond subject to records we must or reasonably need to retain for legal, security, financial, contractual, or legitimate operational purposes.

Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Network or applicable requirements change. The revised policy will be posted here with a new effective date.
